Graph-Based Visualization + Blockchain/Crypto Data

Ara & BlockHack Present: Graph-Based Visualization + Blockchain/Crypto Data

Blockchains and social networks have more in common than you likely realize.

For example, both result in massive data creation -- whether that be in the form of social media conversations/connections or blockchain activity/transactions.

Despite these data layers generally being publicly available, they often require deep analyses (involving robust tools) to yield actionable insights.

Geoff Golberg is an independent researcher and consultant currently building tools and software to identify “noise” across social platforms. Geoff’s research has identified various political influence efforts across the world (among other types of social media manipulation).

During this session, Geoff will share the story of how he became deeply obsessed with information warfare. He will then dissect crypto Twitter (by way of his Twitter followers) and explore the XRP Army via graph-based visualizations combined with network analysis.

Pierre Rochard has been involved with Bitcoin as a researcher, investor, and software developer since early 2013. He co-founded the Satoshi Nakamoto Institute to curate the best primary source literature on Bitcoin and cryptography. In addition to developing Bitcoin software, Pierre is an outspoken advocate for Bitcoin’s decentralized governance.

During this session, Pierre will share his thoughts on how BTC/LN onboarding can be made simpler and faster, without compromising Bitcoin’s properties. He will also discuss the Lightning Network universe (and its growth!) by examining graph-based visualizations.

This event will be highly interactive and chock-full of beautiful data visualizations. It’s an event you won’t want to miss!
